Accept the challenges
so that you can feel
the exhilaration of victory.
~ George S. Patton
If you’re feeling the challenges and difficulties of a job search, this is a great quote for you. The bigger the challenge the greater the victory. Always keep in your mind the prospect of your success: the job offer. Imagine how great it will feel to get that offer and tell your family and friends. Always remember that is it coming and stay positive.
If you’re having trouble, try purposely filling your mind with positive things. Read some inspirational quotes. Check out my blog series on how to stop negative thinking and stay positive in your job search.
If you’re doing everything right as far as you know and you’re still not getting anywhere, do something different now. Don’t keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. You have lots of options:
- Come to one of my motivating online classes.
- Consider having a personal job search evaluation done.
- Schedule some time with me for a career coaching session. I can pinpoint the issue and show you what to do very quickly.
- If you’re sending your resume but not getting interviews, redo your resume.
- If you’re applying online, stop now and start contacting hiring managers. Not sure how to do that? Get my Hidden Jobs Finder.
- If you’re interviewing but not getting offers, polish your interviewing skills and bring a 30-60-90-day plan.
