Monday Motivator for Your Job Search – Be the Hardest Working Person

Be the hardest working person you can be. That’s how you separate yourself from the competition.

~Stephen Curry

One of the biggest job seeker questions is, ‘How can I stand out?’ This applies to the job search and interviews:  How can I stand out from everyone who wants an interview?  How can I stand out from everyone they interview so that I get the job offer?

In many cases, the answer is simple:  Work just a little bit harder.  Anyone can do this.  It doesn’t rely on what education you have, what experience you have, what your background is, or who you know.

Be the hardest working person in the job search by going beyond people who are only finding jobs online and filling out online applications.  Find the names and emails of hiring managers and contact them directly.  Not only will you stand out, you will find hidden jobs that others don’t know about. You are in control and you have the power to do it.

In your interviews, go the extra mile and create a 30 60 90 Day Plan.  It will take some time and effort, but you will stand head and shoulders above other candidates who didn’t work this hard before their interview.  You will be better-prepared for the conversation, for their interview questions, and you will clearly show that you work harder than your competition.
