January Is the Best Month to Get a Job!

job search Think individuals are the only ones who make New Year’s Resolutions?  Businesses feel that ‘fresh start’ feeling, too, and the individuals running the show get focused on their plans and projects for the coming year.  They’ve come past any slowdown over the holidays, and are ready to get moving.  Many times, that means new hires to carry the workload.  That’s one of the reasons January is an excellent time to look for a job.

Don’t get me wrong…I would be the first one to tell you that anytime you need a job is an excellent time to look for one.  The idea that there is one ‘best season‘ for finding a job, or some kind of job search timing you should rigidly follow can be a little misleading.  Even the ‘slow’ hiring seasons have their advantages for job seekers, and things happen in businesses every day that cause them to look for new or replacement employees (bad performance, family emergencies, new opportunities).

But there is such a thing as a time when the fish are biting, and January (February, too) is one of those times.

So I encourage you to get excited and feel motivated to get out there and snag a job for yourself.  I’ve got hundreds of articles and videos right here, packed with the best and most effective tips, and free training webinars where I personally teach on a variety of job search, resume, and interview topics (every week, I offer new webinars on my Free Training Webinars page…check it out).

Everything you learn and every action you take puts you one more step ahead of everyone else.

Best of luck.
