I found this podcast to be helpful because I never fully understood what you were supposed to do during the follow-up process. After listening to this and taking many notes, I feel very confident that I will be able to write a very compelling thank-you letter after the interview to help increase my chances of getting the job.
How do you know when is the "Exact,Right,Time" to send the thank you note?
The right time is immediately.
This is a really good tool. My communication skills weren't the best. This helped me express what I was wanting to in a much better way than I could have done on my own. I never realized how important this was. I learned to always do more than what they expect, it will make you stand out in the crowd.
I interviewed for a job over a week ago and had not heard anything and wasn't sure on how to followup with them. This was so insightful and gave me the confidence to reach out and I got a call the next morning for a 2nd interview! just had to say thank you!
Wow! Who knew that such a little thank you note could have such an impact on your likeability factor in landing the job. I took Peggy's advice and crafted a brief thank you and immediately after I was asked to come in for a second interview.
